Violence is like a sword going through ones heart

It’s like a sour taste that won’t go away

It’s like thousands of people crying out

From this world our love is so far apart

Will the violence ever fade?

As we sit and watch as violence comes and goes

It all just comes to show

That God gives and takes

But God will never hate
